Bread, daily
Sourdough, rye and a plain white loaf, proved slowly and baked through the morning. Whole loaves and halves until they run out.
Bread, pastries and a proper cup of coffee. Made in small batches on the premises, for the people and streets around us.

What we do
Sourdough, rye and a plain white loaf, proved slowly and baked through the morning. Whole loaves and halves until they run out.
Croissants, cinnamon buns and whatever the season suggests, alongside a cake or two on the counter.
Espresso, filter and loose-leaf tea, to take away or drink in at the long table by the window.
Our approach
We bake what we can sell, and we sell it the day it is made.
The bakery started with one oven and a market stall. The bread is still mixed by hand and proved overnight, which is why the loaves taste of more than yeast.
Dough mixed the evening before and proved slowly overnight, so the bread keeps its flavour and its crust.
What is available changes with the day. Regulars learn the rhythm, and the staff will set something aside.
Good to know
A few practical notes about the shop and what we can do.
Opening hours
We open early on weekdays and slightly later at the weekend, closing when the shelves are empty.
Large orders
Bread for an event, a stack of pastries or a celebration cake can all be arranged in advance.
Dietary needs
Ingredients vary by bake. The staff can tell you what is in each loaf, and what might suit you.
The approach
We are open from early until the bread runs out. No need to book, and no need to rush.
The counter staff know what came out of the oven most recently, and what is worth waiting for.
Large orders and celebration cakes can be arranged with a few days notice by phone or in person.
Common questions
Yes, card and contactless. There is no minimum spend, and the till takes cash as well.
Ring or call in before mid-morning and we will put one aside under your name until closing.
Not at the moment. Everything is baked for the shop, and collected from the counter.
